Delicious Holiday Lollipops Recipe

Makes 6 lollipops.

Ingredients

  • 3 1/4 cups white chocolate melts, from 2 (12 oz.) pkgs.
  • 6 tsp. oil
  • 1/4 cup red candy melts
  • 1/4 cup green candy melts

Other things needed.

  • Round Cookie Treat Pan (Cookie pans with 6 (3 1/2″-diameter, 1/4″-deep) round molds)
  • Coarse red and or green decorating sugars
  • 6 (6″ long) lollipop sticks

Directions

MELT CANDY:

  1. In microwave-safe bowl, microwave 3 cups white chocolate melts with oil on Medium 1 minute; stir.
  2. Microwave in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth. In separate bowls, microwave red, green candy melts and remaining white chocolate melts on Medium in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth; transfer to separate plastic food storage bags. Snip 1 corner of each bag.

MAKE LOLLIPOPS:

  1. Sprinkle decorating sugar around inside edge of some molds.
  2. Pipe dots of assorted candy colors into molds to cover. Swirl with toothpick. Carefully cover halfway with candy-oil mixture.
  3. Place sticks in molds; cover with additional candy-oil mixture. In other molds, cover bottoms completely with decorating sugars.
  4. Carefully cover halfway with melted white mixture. Place sticks in molds; cover with candy-oil mixture.
  5. Let stand until set, about 2 hours. Remove from molds.
  6. Enjoy and happy holidays.

Easy Home-made candy canes

Things needed

1 1/2 cups semisweet or
white chocolate chips, 9 oz.
1 tsp. oil
36 pretzel rods
snowflakes sprinkles, sprinkles, crushed candy, and any other candy

DIP PRETZELS:

  1. Line baking sheets with wax paper. In microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and oil; microwave on High in 20-second intervals, stirring, until melted and smooth.
  2. Dip each pretzel halfway or three-quarter way into chocolate, spreading with small spatula or back of spoon and allowing excess to drip off.

    SPRINKLE COATING:

3. Immediately sprinkle pretzels with sprinkles, or candies. Place on baking sheets. Let dry, about 1 hour.

Easy Quick Microwave Pralines Treat

Things Needed

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups pecan pieces
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • Stirring Spoon
  • microwavable bowl

Steps

  1. Melt margarine in 8 cup microwavable bowl. Stir in evaporated milk and sugar.
  2. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Remove and stir. Microwave on high another 4 minutes.
  3. Remove and stir again. Add pecans and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Add vanilla and stir until mixture begins to thicken. Drop on wax paper and let cool overnight. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Patties

Active Time: 30 minutes Total Time: 1½ hours Amount: about 30 patties

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 sleeve of Snacker Crackers
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 (12 ounce) package Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup butter, cubed

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Spread crackers with peanut butter; set on baking sheet.
  2. Refrigerate until peanut butter is solid (about 1 hour).
  3. Using a double boiler or a heat-proof bowl over the top of a saucepan, fill halfway with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer.
  4. Add chocolate chips and butter to top of double boiler or bowl. Continue heating until chocolate is melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  5. Dip crackers in chocolate; allow excess chocolate to drip off of crackers. Place on wire rack over wax paper or directly on wax paper.
  6. Allow to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Homemade Candy Recipes: Aunt Myrle’s Favorites


 My Aunt Myrle was one of the best candy makers that I know. Several years ago, I asked her to share some recipes with me. She sent me a handwritten piece of paper with two recipes on it. The recipes are as follows:

Aunt Myrtle’s Fudge
  • 1 tall can milk (condensed milk)
  • 2 T butter (2 tablespoons)
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 – 12 oz pack of semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3-4 oz sweet cooking chocolate
  • 1 pint marshmallow cream
  • 2 or more cups chopped pecans 
  1. Combine milk, butter, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil stirring often.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 6 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, place the other ingredients except pecans in a large bowl. 
  5. Gradually pour the boiling mixture over the chocolate and marshmallows and beat until the chocolate is melted.
  6. Stir in the pecans and pour in a large, buttered pan. 
  7. Store in fridge or cool place several hours to harden before cutting in squares.
Just Candy
  • 2 cups of pecans
  • 1 pack of almond bark chocolate
  • 5 pieces of Carmel 
  1. Chop 2 cups pecans. (Get really small)
  2. Melt 1 pack of almond bark chocolate in the microwave. 
  3. Melt caramel
  4. stir in caramel to the chocolate
  5. mix all together quickly and drop by Spoonfuls on waxed paper.
  6. Let cool for about 5 minutes.
