✨ Introduction for Unleavened Bread for Passover
Unleavened bread is one of the most ancient and meaningful symbols in the Passover celebration. Made without yeast, it reminds us of the haste with which the Israelites fled Egypt—no time to wait for dough to rise, only time to obey and trust the Lord’s deliverance.
“Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall remove leaven from your houses.”
— Exodus 12:15
This simple, wholesome bread—made with whole wheat flour, honey, olive oil, and salt—is a beautiful picture of purity and sincerity. In Scripture, leaven often represents sin, pride, or corruption. Removing it from our homes and hearts is a call to walk in truth and holiness.
“Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven… but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
— 1 Corinthians 5:8
Whether you’re preparing for a full Seder or simply honoring the season with your family, this recipe is easy to make and rich in meaning. It serves 10–12 people and fills your home with the aroma of devotion—bread that nourishes both body and soul.
