For years, finances were one of the heaviest burdens on my shoulders. Every holiday, every slow month, every unexpected bill brought the same knot in my stomach. We worked hard, but it always felt like we were barely making it. I prayed constantly for God to help us — to send provision, to open a door, to make a way.
But instead of handing me money, God handed me a mission.
When I Prayed for Finances, God Gave Me an Assignment
In February of 2025, every time I prayed, I heard the same quiet instruction in my spirit:
“Write the website.”
It didn’t make sense at first. I was asking for financial help, and God was pointing me toward work — toward building something that didn’t yet bring income (and still doesn’t as of when this was wrote), toward a project that required time, energy, and faith.
But I obeyed.
I wrote when I was tired.
I wrote when I didn’t know how it would help.
I wrote when the bank account said “not enough.”
And somehow — by God’s grace — we made it through that year. Barely, but we made it.
That was my season of being faithful over a few things.
Then Everything Shifted
This year, around February–March, it was like someone flipped a switch in heaven.
Painting Contractors, for the family-owned painting company, who had been late for years suddenly paid on time.
Work flowed steadily.
Provision came without the usual stress.
For the first time in 18 years, I wasn’t afraid of the holidays coming.
No dread.
No anxiety.
Just peace.
It felt like God saying:
“You were faithful with the little. Now watch what I can do.”
Faithfulness Before Increase
Looking back, I see exactly what God was doing.
He wasn’t ignoring my prayers — He was answering them through opportunity.
(stewardship and opportunity)
He was teaching me to steward the assignment He gave me.
He was preparing me for a season of stability.
He was building something in me before He built something around me.
The website wasn’t just a project — it was my “talent” from Matthew 25.
And when I worked with what He placed in my hands, He multiplied what was in His.
A New Season — And a New Calling
Now, I’m stepping into this season with gratitude and determination.
I’m continuing to write.
I’m expanding the Spanish site.
I’m building what God told me to build — not out of fear, but out of faith.
Because I’ve learned something priceless:
When God gives you an assignment, it is the doorway to the provision you prayed for.
And when you are faithful with the little, He truly does trust you with more.
Closing Reflection
This testimony isn’t about money — it’s about God’s character.
He is faithful.
He is consistent.
He is a provider.
And He honors obedience, even when it feels small.
If you are in a season of “barely enough,” don’t despise the assignment God places in your hands.
Your breakthrough may not come as a check — it may come as a calling.
And when you walk in it, you’ll see what I’ve seen:
God’s faithfulness is steady, strong, and right on time.
