Kindergarten week 1 of 36

Print out this page. As you do the assignments, write down the day that you completed each assignment. This will be your attendance record. Science and Social Studies are only done 3 days a week.

Remember in kindergarten a child is learning how to learn. Nurture their curiosity.

  • God Made Me Cut & Paste Printables
    • Choose the page that you want your child to do.
    • Review the parts of the body with your child.
    • Have the child cut and paste the correct body parts
    • Review the scripture.

Social Studies

  • Would you like to take a 100 day adventure of American history? Travel through books from the time when Squanto was a boy and the time shortly before the Pilgrims arrived through the late 1800’s and the turn of the century!  Click on the link to download a list of books recommended for use during the 100 days as well as coordinating notebook pages!

    • On the 3rd page of the link is a list of books recommended for use during the 100 days. However, please feel free to substitute as needed.
    • All books should be read to the child.
  • On the 4th page starts the day-by-day lesson plan. You will be doing about 3 days per week.

    • Act Out the Poem
      • If you have an umbrella, pretend it is raining and take shelter beneath it.
      • Pretend to splash through puddles.

  • Read or listen to the Poem
    • Draw the Green Grass and Blue Sky

  • Calendar math
  • Mix the colors. Make sure to click on any tube that you don’t need to put back its paint when you aren’t using it.
  • Counting 1-10 Song | Number Songs for Children | Count to 10
  • You are on day 2, count to two. Remember to have your child count out loud and hold up 2 fingers.
  • Tracing the number 2 (two) (printable)

      • Take extra care washing your face and hands and brushing your teeth before you go to bed tonight.
      • Look for opportunities to help others during the week.

  • Act Out the Poem
    • Count your fingernails and toenails. How many total nails do you have?
    • How many nails do you have on one hand?

      • Make your own house under a hill.
      • Make a house in a hill out of blankets, tables, chairs, or other furniture.
      • Go in your house and practice reciting the poem.

Bible

  • Creation: (Genesis 1)
  • Bible Truths: God created everything and it was good!
  • Focus Verse(s): Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
