🌿 Scripture Reflection: Remembering What God Has Done
All throughout Scripture, God teaches His people to remember. Not because He fears being forgotten, but because we are the ones who forget—forget His power, His mercy, His nearness, His faithfulness in the wilderness places of our lives. The Israelites’ journey to the Promised Land is woven with God‑given memorials, each one a marker of grace set down in the dust of their story. These stones, feasts, and signs were not merely historical artifacts; they were teaching tools, invitations to pause and say, “Look what the Lord has done.”
In the New Testament, this same pattern continues. Jesus sends His followers out as witnesses, telling the healed man in Mark 5 to go home and share what the Lord had done for him, and urging His disciples in Acts 1:8 to carry their testimony to the ends of the earth. Remembering becomes telling. Telling becomes worship. Worship becomes witness.

Just as Israel set down stones to mark God’s faithfulness, we set down stories—our testimonies of rescue, provision, forgiveness, and hope. These become living memorials, pointing others to the God who still parts waters, still keeps covenant, still leads His people home.
Below is a list of the memorials God instructed the Israelites to establish on their journey. Each one whispers the same truth: “The Lord has been faithful—do not forget.”
