Below is a chronological outline of the key events Scripture records from Resurrection Sunday to Ascension Day.

Day 1 — Resurrection Sunday (Easter)
Events:
- Women discover the empty tomb (Matthew 28:1–8)
- Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene (John 20:11–18)
- Jesus appears to the other women (Matthew 28:9–10)
- Jesus appears to Peter (Luke 24:34)
- Jesus appears to two disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13–35)
- Jesus appears to the disciples (without Thomas) in Jerusalem (John 20:19–23)
Day 8 — Jesus Appears to Thomas
Events:
- Jesus appears again to the disciples, this time with Thomas present
- Thomas confesses, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:24–29)
Sometime During the 40 Days — Teaching and Appearances
Scripture does not assign exact dates to these events, but they occurred between Day 1 and Day 40.

- Jesus directs the miraculous catch of fish
