Doctrinal Statement (Scripture‑Anchored, 1st‑Century Faith)

A statement built only from what the Bible explicitly teaches.

1. Scripture

The Scriptures are the inspired, true, and authoritative Word of God.

Scripture Proofs:

  • “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17
  • “Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” — 2 Peter 1:21
  • “Thy word is truth.” — John 17:17
  • “The sum of thy word is truth.” — Psalm 119:160

2. God

There is one God, the Creator of all things, eternal, holy, and sovereign.

Scripture Proofs:

  • “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.” — Deuteronomy 6:4
  • “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” — Isaiah 44:6
  • “God is a Spirit.” — John 4:24
  • “To us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things.” — 1 Corinthians 8:6

God reveals Himself as Father, Word, and Spirit—three biblical expressions of His one divine being.

  • Spirit: “The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” — Genesis 1:2

3. Jesus the Messiah

Jesus is the Word made flesh, the visible image of the invisible God.

  • “In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” — Colossians 2:9

4. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God’s own Spirit, given to dwell in, empower, and sanctify believers.

  • “The Holy Ghost shall come upon you.” — Luke 1:35
  • “The Spirit of God dwelleth in you.” — 1 Corinthians 3:16

5. Humanity and Sin

All have sinned and are separated from God.

  • “All we like sheep have gone astray.” — Isaiah 53:6

6. Salvation

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

7. The Church

The Church is the body of believers who follow Jesus and continue His mission.

  • “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” — Matthew 28:19–20

8. Christian Living

Believers are called to holiness, love, obedience, and Spirit‑led living.

  • “Present your bodies a living sacrifice.” — Romans 12:1
  • “Walk in the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:16

9. Last Things

Jesus will return, judge the world, and establish the new creation.
