Father, I come to You tonight in quiet trust.
Your Word says that “when I lie down, I shall not be afraid; yea, I shall lie down, and my sleep shall be sweet” (Proverbs 3:24).
So I rest my mind, my body, and my spirit beneath Your covering of peace.
Lord, You promise that You give sleep to Your beloved (Psalm 127:2), and I receive that gift tonight.
Calm every anxious thought.
Still every racing worry.
Let Your presence settle over me like a soft blanket.
You are the One who keeps me in perfect peace when my mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3).
So I turn my thoughts toward Your goodness, Your nearness, and Your faithfulness.
Guard my home, Lord.
Your Word says that You alone make me dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
Let no fear, no disturbance, and no heaviness come near.
Place Your angels around me, for Your angels encamp around those who fear You (Psalm 34:7).
Tonight, I cast every care on You, because You care for me (1 Peter 5:7).
Lift every burden from my shoulders.
Quiet my heart so I can breathe deeply and sleep peacefully.
Let Your peace—the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7)—
guard my heart and mind as I rest.
And when morning comes, awaken me with renewed strength,
for Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23).
Thank You, Lord, for sweet sleep, holy rest, and Your watchful presence through the night.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
