Ingredients:
- 2 quarts strawberries washed and hulled
- 1 cup water
- œ cup water
- 3 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 – 10-inch baked pie shell
Instructions:
- Combine 1 cup mashed strawberries with 1 cup water in a saucepan.
- Boil for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup sugar and the cornstarch which has been dissolved in the cup water.
- Boil until the mixture turns clear, approximately 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Cool glaze. Add the remaining berries to the glaze and toss gently to coat.
- Arrange mixture in pie shell and refrigerate. Garnish pie with whipped cream when serving.
