🕊️ The Story
Long ago, after Jesus went back to Heaven, His friends gathered together in a house in Jerusalem. They prayed and waited, just as Jesus told them to.
Suddenly, they heard a mighty wind rushing through the room! Then they saw little flames of fire resting above each person’s head.
This wasn’t scary—it was wonderful! It meant God had sent the Holy Spirit to live inside them. The Spirit helped them speak in many languages so everyone could hear about Jesus.
That day, 3,000 people believed and were baptized. It was the birthday of the Church!
💖 What It Means
- God gave His Law on stone tablets at Mount Sinai.
- Later, He promised through Jeremiah to write His Law on our hearts.
- At Pentecost, He kept that promise by sending His Spirit to live inside believers.
Now, instead of only hearing God’s words, we can feel His love and guidance in our hearts every day.

🕊️ Closing Thought
Pentecost reminds us that God doesn’t just live in Heaven—He lives in us. His Spirit helps us love, forgive, and share His good news with others.
