đŸ”„ Wind and Fire Craft: The Holy Spirit Comes

Here’s a joyful Wind and Fire Craft for Pentecost — simple, symbolic, and perfect for children’s ministry or homeschool. It helps kids visualize the Holy Spirit’s arrival as described in Acts 2.

đŸ§ș Materials

  • Red, orange, and yellow tissue paper (for fire)
  • Paper plates or cardstock circles (for base)
  • Straws or paper tubes (for blowing wind)
  • Glue sticks and tape
  • Markers or crayons
  • Optional: glitter, stickers, or small dove cutouts

✂ Instructions

  1. Prepare the base
Cut a circle from cardstock or use a paper plate. Write “The Holy Spirit came like wind and fire!” around the edge.
  2. Create the flames
Tear or cut tissue paper into flame shapes — red, orange, and yellow. Glue them in the center or around the edge.
  3. Add the wind
Tape a straw or paper tube to the back. When children blow through it, the tissue flames flutter — showing the “mighty wind.”
  4. Decorate with symbols
Add a small dove or heart to remind them that the Holy Spirit brings peace and love.
  5. Finish with Scripture
Write Acts 2:4 or Jeremiah 31:33 on the back: “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.”

💡 Teaching Connection

Explain that:

  • The wind reminds us of God’s invisible power.
  • The fire reminds us of His presence and purity.
  • The dove reminds us of peace and love.

Together, they show how the Holy Spirit came to live in believers’ hearts.
