🍵Mint Tea

A refreshing, lemony mint tea that can be served hot or cold — perfect for summer afternoons or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 tea bags
  • 2 cups sugar
  • Juice of 4 lemons
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint leaves, crushed

Instructions

  1. Pour 4 quarts of water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn off the heat and add the tea bags.
  3. Steep until the tea is a strong, dark color.
  4. While still warm, add sugar, lemon juice, a bit of lemon rind, and crushed mint leaves.
  5. Let stand for several hours, then remove the tea bags.
  6. Fill a large pitcher with plenty of ice and pour the tea over it.
  7. Serve cold or hot — both ways work beautifully.

Yield

Makes about 1 gallon of tea.

Serving Tip

Add a sprig of fresh mint and a thin lemon slice to each glass for a bright, elegant touch.
