Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescents: A Quick Appetizer


Prep Time: 15 min. | Total Time: 31 min. | Makes: 8 servings (2 crescents  each

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz sausage links (14 links)
  • (8 oz.) Cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 crushed red pepper
  • 2 can (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescents


Directions:

  1. HEAT oven to 375°F.
  2. CRUMBLE sausage links into bite-size pieces; place in large skillet.
  3. Cook over medium heat 5 min. or until done, stirring frequently. Drain.
  4. ADD sausage to cream cheese and crushed pepper in medium bowl; mix well.
  5. SEPARATE each can of dough into 8 triangles.
  6. Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly onto short sides of dough triangles, adding about 2 Tbsp. cream cheese mixture to each triangle.
  7. Roll up, starting at short side of each triangle. Place, point sides down, on baking sheet.
  8. BAKE 14 to 16 min. or until golden brown.

Healthy Homemade Spring Rolls with Chicken


Ingredients:

  • 1 carrot, peeled and grated
  • 1 cup shredded napa cabbage or whatever cabbage that you have
  • 2 shallots, trimmed and sliced or 1/4 cup onion
  • ½ cup canned water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ½ pound (8 ounces) ground chicken or 8 ounces of chicken cooked and shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 12 ounces frozen spring roll wrappers, thawed or Egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking oil spray


Extra things that you need:

  • A pastry brush

Directions:

  1. Grab your favorite large bowl and put in the carrot, cabbage, shallots, and water chestnuts. Use a spoon to mix them all up.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat, then add the ground chicken, and cook until it has browned. Stir in the veggie mixture and the soy sauce.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes, then remove the pan from the heat and let it cool down.
  4. In another bowl, combine the water and cornstarch. Place 1 wrapper on a clean, flat surface with one corner pointing toward you. Use a pastry brush to brush the cornstarch mixture over edges of the wrapper.
  5. Time to get rolling! Place 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture about 2 inches in from the corner of the wrapper, then fold the corner over the filling and roll it up, folding in the sides as you go.
  6. Transfer your spring roll to your wire rack and repeat this process until you have used up all of your mixture.

7. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place a wire rack on a baking tray.

8. Spray your spring rolls with cooking oil spray, then bake them in the oven for 20 to 25
minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 8 hard boiled eggs
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbs sliced green onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbs sour cream
  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa

Directions:

  1. Slice eggs in half, lengthways.
  2. Remove yolks and set whites aside.
  3. In a small bowl mash yolks with cheese, mayonnaise, salsa, onion, sour cream, and salt.
  4. Evenly fill egg whites with yolk mixture.
  5. Serve

Hot Buffalo Chicken Dip

Active Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 1-2 hours Amount: about 3 cups

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 (10 ounce) cans Chicken Breast with Rib Meat in Water, drained.
  • 1 (8 ounce) package Cream Cheese, softened
  • ½ Cup finely diced celery
  • ½ cup blue cheese crumbles
  • ½ cup Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • ½ cup Creamy Ranch Dressing
  • Snacker Crackers

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine all ingredients except crackers in a 1–2-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cook on LOW 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly.
  3. Serve with crackers.

Easy Turkey Bacon and Cheese Potato Campfire Recipe

COOKOUT POTATOES are great. It is possible to cook these in the oven but it takes longer.

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices bacon (turkey bacon works great if fried in a little cooking oil)
  • 3 large-sized potatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 large onion
  • ½ pound cheddar cheese (block cheese)
  • 1 stick (4 ounces) butter or margarine

Directions:

  1. Fry bacon in a skillet over low heat until
    crisp.
  2. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Crumble bacon into small pieces.
  4. Peel potatoes, slice them thin, then put them on a large piece of foil.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread bacon crumbs over potatoes.
  7. Peel the onion, cut thin slices, and place them on the crumbs.
  8. Cut cheese into small cubes and dot over onion
    slices.
  9. Cut butter into squares and cover the cheese with them.
  10. Wrap the foil around this potato mixture and seal the edges tightly.
  11. Cook over hot coals for 1 hour. Turn over several times while cooking.
    Serves 4.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp shortening
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening, sugar, and egg together.
  2. Add vanilla and salt and stir this into flour and baking powder (sifted together).
  3. Add milk, if necessary to make dough.
  4. Roll out 1/4 inch thick, cut and fry in deep oil and drain.
  5. Dust with powdered sugar.

Tuna Dip for a Crowd
Ingredients:
  • 4 eggs, boiled, peeled, and sliced
  • 4 cans water packed tuna; drained
  • 2 packs of cream cheese, softened
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • l cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups salad dressing
  • Seasonings to taste; salt, pepper, Tabasco, garlic salt, and paprika
Directions:
  1. Mix first five ingredients together.
  2. Add salad dressing and seasonings.
  3. Serve with crackers or raw vegetables.
